他人と意見が違ったら、とりあえず「キミの言う通りだ」と言ってみる。
そして、自分と意見の違う人の頭の中ではどういう推論がなされているのかを想像的に追体験してみる。
これは脳の容量を拡大するきわめて効率的な方法である。
他人が言っていることの意味がわからなかったら、とりあえず「にっこり」笑って、「ふんふん、で、それって具体的にはどういうことなの」と訊いてみる。
これは他人の知性のパフォーマンスを上げるよい方法である。
どう考えても、「バカと話す」よりは「賢い人と話す」方が愉快であるし生産的でもあるので、自分と話す相手の知性を向上させるためには不断の努力を怠ってはならぬのである。
